Win-Loss-Game Definitions

|

Everyone-for-himself games
In the nutshell, when the game
ends or when the points deficit of any of the players reaches 100, a player's score is
compared against that of each of his opponents to determine win-loss as in
separate one-on-one pairings. Here's an easy lookup chart:
 |
For a 2-players
game:
 |
The winner
would get 1
win, 0
loss, and 1
game counted in his winning ratio calculation. |
 |
The loser
would get 0
win, 1
loss, and 1
game counted in his records. |
|
 |
For a 3-players
game:
 |
The winner would get 2
wins, 0
loss, and 2
games counted in his records. |
 |
The
2nd place loser
would get 1
win, 1
loss, and 2
games counted in his records. |
 |
The
3rd or last place loser
would get 0
win, 2
losses, and 2
games counted in his records. |
|
 |
For a 4-players
game:
 |
The
winner
would get 3
wins, 0
loss, and 3
games counted in his records. |
 |
The
2nd place loser
would get 2
wins, 1
loss, and 3
games counted in his records. |
 |
The
3rd place loser
would get 1
win, 2
losses, and 3
games counted in his records. |
 |
The
4th or last place loser
would get 0
win, 3
losses, and 3
games counted in his records. |
|
This system ensures that the sum of wins
+
sum of losses =
sum of games played
and assigns the appropriate value to the additional difficulty of winning when
playing against more players in various types of everyone-for-himself games.
|
|
4-players team
games
A team game of 2 players playing
against another 2 players is considered to be equivalent to 2 separate
one-on-one games, but the game ends when the points deficit of any of the 4
players reaches 100 or other agreed conditions. Only the total final
score of each team is used to determine the winners so, regardless of
individual final scores, for the 2 vs. 2 team game:
 |
Each member of the
winning team
would get 1
win, 0
loss, and 1
game counted in his records. |
 |
Each member of the
losing team
would get 0
win, 1
loss, and 1
game counted in his records. |
